What are your favorite fishing locations?

My fishing has taken me throughout the United States as well as many international destinations. There are so many different destinations that offer so many different experiences that it’s hard to decide my favorite. Argentina is definitely in the top 3. To be able to fish golden dorado, an absolutely incredible gamefish, and on the same trip fish trout as if you were fishing in Montana 100 years ago is special.”

What are your most memorable fishing experiences?

As for actual catching experiences, nothing compares to the trip to the Yucatan where my son Jared, who also works in the shop, and I each caught 2 Grand Slams including 3 permit each in a week of fishing. Then there was catching a 48” pike on a fly in Alaska with my son Jared guiding him when Jared had just started his guiding career.”

“However, if I couldn’t travel anymore to all of these destinations, it would be ok, as my home state of Wisconsin has so many opportunities I’d be completely happy staying in Wisconsin.”
