The all-new Hook Jaw by Regal Vise was designed for you in mind! The brand-new jaw is for the perfectionist tyer that loves those small, intricate patterns. The cut-out, hook-style design allows for greater access to tie down at the bend of the shank without needing to reposition your hook. Of course, you can position your hook in classic Regal-fashion; however, Regal added more material to the tip of these jaws so you can keep the hook point in the jaws itself! No more snagging! This new jaw will make tying a breeze without sacrificing any of that Regal Vise Bulldog Bite. Extremely versatile and strong, this vise head can accommodate hook sizes from 32 to 2, making it the trout fisherman’s dream vise.
Versatility and elegance – these are the words that come to mind when describing the Regal Revolution Series. The Regal Revolution Vises combine the ultimate hook-holding power of their famous head designs and true in-line rotary function. The vise can be rotated for winding materials on a hook, or tighten the barrel and wrap materials in the traditional method. All of the vises in the Revolution Series revolve around a 360º axis and articulate 220º vertically.
HOOK ALIGNMENT
Placing the hook within the head of a Regal Vise is very important. Due to the pressure the vise head exerts, the hook must be placed well within the limits of the head surfaces. Failure to properly place the hooks may result in “chipping” of the head or the hook may dislodge from the vise under pressure.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF YOUR VISE
All Regal vises and accessories are manufactured to last a lifetime. As with all precision equipment, the tool simply needs some routine tender loving care. Regal suggests a drop or two of gun oil every so often rubbed into the surface of the head and stem not unlike you would do to a prized firearm. This simple task will bring out the true color and luster of the vise and help preserve it.
CONVERTING YOUR VISE LEFT-HANDED
All Regal vises are shipped as right-handed. Making the vise left-handed is a very simple procedure and only takes a few minutes. On the under side of the vise you will see a hex nut in the ball that holds the jaw handles in place. Simply loosen the nut with a 7/64’’ hex wrench and swing the jaw handle to the other side. Tighten the hex nut and you are ready to tie from the left-hand position.
