The SweetMeat Sally is an off-shoot of Garrison Doctor's own SweetMeat Caddis with a CDC “wing” that gives the fly great life and movement in the water and along with the jigged hook ensures the fly fishes hook point up.
Love them or hate them, Yellow Sallies are an incredible hatch on many rivers, so do not be caught without some in your box.
This fly is also a great attractor nymph, so do not be afraid to tie one on, Yellow Sallies hatching or not!
