Abel's new VAYA series of fly fishing reels are Colorado made and machined reels that combine a great looking technical aesthetic with the outstanding performance you would expect from Abel fly reels.  The partially ported frame of Abel VAYA fly reels combines reduced weight with incredible rigidity and a nice amount of surface area to show off Abel's hand-anodized finishes.  On the interior of the frame are CNC-milled fly patterns, each relevant to the size of the reel. 

These machined and anodized fly fishing reels feature a super smooth 5-disc drag with alternating carbon and stainless steel discs. These materials provide fast heat dissipation and smooth braking power to slow fish down while protecting tippet.  The large arbor design prevents line coiling and provides fast retrieval rates.  Fantastic fly fishing reels for everything from freshwater fly fishing to light saltwater fly fishing.
