Mallard Flank feathers have a number of fly tying uses from wings and cheeks on trout flies both dry flies and streamer flies as well as steelhead flies. Of Bronze Mallard, Mallard Sides and Mallard Flank, the flank is the smallest. These make great dry wings on classic trout dry fly patterns.
